How to bundle multiple files into a ZIP

Add ordinary files, review the list, name your ZIP, create it, then click Download ZIP. Creation produces a download link; it does not automatically save the ZIP to your device.

1. Add files: select multiple files or drop ordinary files into the tool. Add more whenever needed.

2. Review the list: check names, count and total size. Remove unwanted entries with their remove buttons.

3. Name ZIP: enter a name; the final .zip extension is optional.

4. Create: click Create ZIP and wait for progress to finish. You can cancel while it runs.

5. Download: click Download ZIP, follow your browser’s save prompt, then open and check the result.

How duplicate names are handled

Names are compared without case differences and after NFC Unicode normalization. For example, notes.txt and NOTES.TXT conflict. A conflict within the new batch or with the existing list rejects the entire new batch. Your original list stays intact; files are not overwritten or automatically renamed.

Rename conflicting files on your device, then add the batch again. There may be more than one conflict to resolve.

Size, name and feature limits

The protective limits are 1,000 ordinary files and 64 MiB in total. These limits do not guarantee completion on every phone or browser. Try fewer files if resources are limited.

The main ZIP name, excluding the final .zip, allows up to 120 characters. It cannot be empty, contain paths, control characters or \ / < > : " | ? *, or end with a dot or space.

The tool uses ZIP Stored: it bundles files without compression, so the ZIP may be slightly larger than the combined inputs. It does not promise smaller photos, videos or other files. Folder import, passwords, split archives and archive conversion are unavailable. Not all system metadata is preserved.

Cancellation and recovery

Cancel stops creation and keeps your file list so you can retry. Clear all removes the list; an individual remove button removes only that entry. Neither deletes your device originals.

Correct invalid names, rename duplicates, or reduce the file count and size after a limit or creation error. Changing the name or list invalidates the previous download result: create a new ZIP. If failures persist, keep your originals and use a device archive tool.

Check your download

For example, add notes.txt, picture.png and empty.txt. Open the downloaded ZIP, check all three names and the count, compare text and image contents with the originals, and confirm the empty file still has zero bytes. This is a checking example, not a test result.

Keep originals until you have checked the output. Successful bundling is not a complete backup or a guarantee that file contents are safe.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add Unicode names and empty files? The tool accepts these ordinary files. Check names and contents after downloading; their display also depends on the software opening the ZIP.

Where is my download on a phone? Check your browser’s downloads, save prompt or system file app. There is no single save folder across browsers and devices.

Already have a ZIP, RAR or 7Z to open? Use Open & Extract instead of wrapping the existing archive in another ZIP.
