Open, explore, pick
Choose one ZIP, RAR or 7Z file, up to 64 MiB. ZIP supports Stored and Deflate. RAR and 7Z compatibility varies by compression method. Encrypted and split archives are not supported.
Search matches names and paths in the current folder and its subfolders. Choose All files to search the whole archive. Search does not inspect document contents.
Download one file or a selection
Select a file to download it directly under its filename. Select multiple entries or a folder to download pickunzip-selected.zip. The ZIP preserves archive-relative paths and selected empty directory entries.
Folder checkboxes select their descendants. The selection count includes directory entries. Changing folders or search terms keeps your selection; use Clear selection to start over. Select results applies only to the current file results.
Selecting fewer files controls the output, but does not guarantee that the engine decompresses only selected bytes. Keep the original and check your downloads.
Preview before you save
Click a filename to preview TXT, MD, CSV, JSON, LOG, XML, YAML or YML as UTF-8 text, or PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and BMP images. The per-file preview limit is 5 MiB.
Other types can still be downloaded if extraction succeeds. HTML, SVG and programs are not executed or previewed. Close the preview with Escape or its close button.
Limits and a fresh start
Input: 64 MiB. Expanded content: 128 MiB total, 64 MiB per file, and 3,000 entries. These protective limits are ceilings, not device-capacity guarantees. ZIP64, legacy ZIP filename encodings, unsafe paths and conflicting paths are rejected.
Cancel & clear stops processing and clears the current archive. After an error, use Start again and select a replacement archive. If a valid archive repeatedly fails, use a desktop extractor. Read extraction help.
